Updating the image of a century-old brand to be relevant to loyal customers, while attract a new audience was a challenge we gladly accepted. Our solution? – an engaging print campaign that revitalized Lion Brand Yarn’s image and honored its long history. We used wit, wordplay and fresh, relatable photos to connect traditional concepts with modern-day life. “The Original…” campaign’s messages affirm Lion Brand Yarn’s status as an originator in the culture of knitting and crochet, in America. Each ad has the right mix of then-and-now to be interesting to the brand’s core demographic – plus attract new, younger customers.
